What Is the Family Preservation Program?
The Family Preservation Program (FPP) is a comprehensive approach to ending extreme poverty by teaching life skills in eight key development areas. Families who graduate from the program become self-reliant, able to sustain their progress for generations.
How Families Become Self-Reliant
During the Expedition, you’ll walk through villages where families have learned to build safe homes, start small businesses, and improve nutrition for their children. You’ll meet parents who once faced impossible choices but now have the knowledge and tools to keep their children safe, healthy, and thriving.
What You’ll Experience on the Expedition
This isn’t a sightseeing trip — it’s a chance to:
- Witness firsthand how your monthly gifts help families escape poverty.
- Celebrate progress with families who have completed their three-year journey to self-reliance.

Every new monthly donor who starts their gift before August 19 will be entered to win a spot on an Expedition in the next 12 months (July 2025-August 2026). Your ongoing support will help more families gain the skills they need — and could give you the chance to see their transformation up close.

Expedition Drawing Rules & Details
Eligibility:
Open to individuals 18 years or older who start or increase a monthly gift to Care for Life’s Family Preservation Program between July 7 and August 19, 2025. Void where prohibited.
How to Enter:
- Automatic entry with a new or upgraded monthly donation made before August 19, 2025.
- No purchase necessary: enter by sending your name, email, and mailing address to communications@careforlife.org with subject line “Expedition Entry.”
Prize Details:
- One winner will be selected to join a Care for Life Expedition to Mozambique between July 2025-August 2026.
- Prize includes on-the-ground accommodations, in-country transportation, and meals during official program activities.
- Airfare, travel insurance, visas, and personal expenses are not included.
Drawing & Notification:
- Winner will be selected at random on August 21, 2025, from eligible entries.
- Winner will be notified via email and must confirm acceptance within 5 days of notification.
Odds of Winning:
Depends on number of eligible entries received.
General Conditions:
- Prize is non-transferable, has no cash value, and must be used on a trip between July 2025-August 2026.
- Winner must be physically capable of international travel and visiting rural communities.
- Care for Life reserves the right to cancel or adjust trip plans for safety or unforeseen circumstances.
- Participation is subject to Care for Life’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
